socket error # 10054

Could this error have anything to do with the fact I installed the MS
AntiSpy Beta?

My newsreader (40tude Dialog) suddenly *sometimes* reports socker
error # 10054; connection reset by peer. The problem occurs at random,
and cannot be reproduced: some messages get sent promptly, other get
stuck. Two other newsreaders I tried had no problem with the same
messages, to the same groups.

I use Windows XP Home SP2
internet access through a Thomson Speedtouch 510 multipc modem
home network with 4 pc's
AVG Anti Virus version 7
MS Anti Spy Beta (active)
Spybot Search and Destroy (not active in background)

I have tried
sending messages with AV off
with Anti Spy off
with both off

but none of these measures seem to have any effect.

Do you have any idea whether this problem could be MS Beta Spy ware
related?

I don't think thats as a result of MSAS.
