Snapshot viewer linked object resizing problem

I have a problem with slides in PowerPoint 2000 that are linked to
snapshot files that will resize itself automatically when it goes from
slide show mode to normal view. Also, it will do it in slide show mode
when I move from the snapshot linked slide to a normal slide and then
back to the snapshot linked slide. I originally bring the object in
"TO FIT", but the object always resizes in slide show mode. This is on
a Windows 2000 Professional PC. Is there any setting in PowerPoint
that I am overlooking?

How are you inserting the snapshot file? If you link to it as you would,
say, video, then I'd guess this is an issue with the video card and/or
driver.

I had this trouble a couple of weeks ago and then again Saturday night
with some linked video which always resized to full-screen when I got to
the slide it was on. I finally had to reboot the machine and the
projector (turn it off, then back on) and set both to 1024x768. (They'd
been at 800x600 and worked perfectly Saturday morning when we tested, go
figure.)

The video also would only play while on the projector only (as opposed
to showing on both the laptop and the projected screen) when at 800x600,
but after the reboot and display setting reset, video played on both
laptop and projector. Again, go figure.

So that's where I'd start messing around.
