Why are objects resized differently when copy+paste to Word doc?

At first I created a landscape slide in Powerpoint with multiple objects on it.

Then I marked all stuff with CTRL+A, copied it to clipboard and finally
pasted it into a Word doc (portrait format).

Much to my surprise the inserted powerpoint diagram is NOT resized correctly.

Some (very big) rectangles are shrinked by 10% while other are shrinked only
by 50%.

So why are the objects resized differently?

How can I resize all stuff on a slide already in Powerpoint?
I found no "resize" option in Powerpoint.

Use the send to Word Option rather than cutting and pasting.
