linking excel tables to powerpoint presentation resizing issues

Hello everyone,

I have a user who is having a strange behaviour when she links table from
Excel to powerpoint.
Everyone here is on the Office 2003 Professional package with SP3 installed,
on XP SP3.
The way the do this is that they format their tables in Excel (color font
and size) so that when they link it to their presentation they basically
copy*- paste the table and it fits into their presentation without having to
resize anything.

For this user the tables appear a bit smaller, from her machine if she uses
this method the tables a resized, if someone else does it (using the same
excel worrkbook and the same presentation) the size is preserved when they
link it to the powerpoint presentation.

The way the tables are linked is using special paste option and then Link
Microsoft Excel Object.

I had a look online and came accross this: http://pptfaq.com/FAQ00593.htm
this suggests that "If charts (and pictures and other content) resize
themselves unpredictably on your slides, choose Tools, Autocorrect from
PowerPoint's main menu bar. Click the "AutoFormat As You Type" tab, then
remove the checkmark next to "Automatic layout for inserted objects"."

I had her try this but it didn't seem to solve the problem.

Anyone here has any ideas or suggestions ?

Thanks for reading this,

vincent

Thanks for your reply,

I will check on this tomorow and report, I will have her try another set of
files and as well a Excel Spreadsheet to start with.

I have asked her to reproduce with another set of files and the error still
is there, Now the only thing I can think of is deleting her profile and
trying with a new one.
She also have the same default printers as her colleagues and same
resolution (1280x1024).

I haven't looked at the graphics drivers yet.

I'll report later on the driver and the new profile
