Hi,

i've had this wireless router for a year or so and the only thing I can't get it to do is share files between my three computers on the network. They all access the internet ok and you can see the computers on the network when you view workgroup computers in network tasks in my network places. However if you click onto one of the other computers you get a message that says "device" is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the adminstrator of this server to find out if you have acces permissions.

One PC & one laptop are running windows xp and another PC is running millenium edition. I've run network wizard to set them all up with file and printer sharing.

Any ideas?

Have you checked that:

1. each computer has the same workgroup name?
2. each computer has a different computer name?
3. that in Windows Explorer in the Properties | Sharing dialogue sheet of the folders you want to share you have ticked `Share this folder on the Network'?

BTW - Mixing operating systems on a network is not a `good thing' to do. But should work.

Try this from: http://www.dbforums.com/showthread.php?p=6228533

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then double-click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Lsa
3. In the right pane, double-click restrictanonymous.
4. Make sure that the value in the Value data box is set to 0, and then click OK.
5. Close Registry Editor.
6. Restart the computer.

NB. Back up the Registry first.

Does your firewall allow access across the network?
