Slow Windows Explorer

Hi, I recently rebooted my entire system, setting it back
to the factory defaults. I installed all of the newest
drivers and such for Windows XP Home. My problem is,
that there are times when I'll open Windows Explorer and
click on my hard drive, and it takes a few minutes to
show anything! There's a search icon looking for
folders. I have had this problem before in the past, and
am wondering what is causing this and if there is a
sollution. Thanks,

Maybe this'll help diagnosis, the slow performance
happens everytime I restart my computer.
