Slow to respond

Some times when I click to open internet explorer or
outlook express nothing happens. Does anyone no why and
can I fix it. If I click it again then a couple of minutes
later the programs will open but twice. There is a
significate delay of about 3-5 minutes???

Hi Greg,

Does it do this when the system is first started?

If so, then something loading at boot is causing it. If not, then it is
something you are running after system startup that is causing it.

Start with a "clean" boot if it's slow right from the get-go, see:

If not, then start examining the other software you are using.
