Explorer (Not Responding)

My computer has Windows XP Professional with very few programs. I have run
HiJack, AntiVirus, and Spyware on the computer. My Internet Explorer and
Instance
Messager work great. But when I click on the Explorer the responds is very
slow and I receive the Not Responding Error. About 1-3 minutes later the Not
Responding error will go away and the explorer will have completed.

What can cause this Not Responding error?

Thank You,

Thank You,

When was the last time you deleted temporary files, including off line? When
was the last time you did a cleanup/chkdsk/defrag? When was the last time
you deleted the cookies on your machine?

Agreed. So many problems can be easily fixed by doing some simple house
cleaning.
