Slow start up after SP3 install

I have a 2 year-old system with XP Media Cneter that ran fine until SP3
install. Now it takes 3 or 4 minutes to start up. It sits at my Bios page
for about 2 minutes before slowly booting up windows. At first I thought it
was just locked up but I left and came back later to find it running. It
runs fine once it is finally up. It has done this on all subsequent restarts.
Any thoughts?

It could be a driver issue or any other bunch of things. BIOS up to
date? Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility installed already?
Did you re-run Windows Update to get the SP3 version of some patches?

Hi Shiffty,

If it's sitting at the BIOS screen, I doubt it has anything to do with
SP3. If you uninstall SP3, does the issue go away?
