slow slow slow IE6 help

Ok I admit I am running XP on an older Pentium but IE5 did
fine.

The most annoying symptom is very slow response to filling
in blanks on a form. Downloads and web page access is
fine. Any suggestions?

You might try repairing the Protected Storage Service

Good site, tried suggestions but Microsoft article for w98
not xp - get no improvement in protected storages and
pstores.exe for w98 only

any other suggestions????

Have you by any chance installed Quicken 2004? In the Quicken
newsgroup some time ago there were numerous comments from Q users who
began experiencing cursor delays while filling in fields in browser
boxes after installing Q2004.
For email, change the 3 to E.
