I connect to a XP machine (sp3) on our company LAN (100 Mbps) from Redhat
Linux using rdesktop v1.6.0 on the client side. For a new laptop and old
desktop that I used to use prior to getting the laptop the screen update
speed is/was OK but for another machine (XP sp3) that is in a room across the
hall, the response is very slow and screen updates occur in blocks usually.
When I ping this machine the response time is generally faster than the
laptop. Does anybody know of an inhereant reason remote desktop to this
machine would be slower than other machines on the same network.
Thanks.
