Hello,

Win2K Pro. I have a PC on the network that is running slower than Christmas.
It has the same config and is exactly the same make and model as every other
PC on the network. The user of it does nothing that other users don't do. It
has no viruses, the drive is not fragmented, and there are no strange
messages in the error logs. The only thing I can think of is that there is a
service that is slowing it down. I know that on XP, you can run MSConfig on
the PC and begin to narrow down possible problems. I don't think you can run
it on Win2K. Is there some equivalent that I can run to see what may be
going on? I appreciate any help. Thanks,

Chris

John,

Thanks for the links. I didn't even thing about running Ad-Aware. I don't
know why; I run it on my PC all the time. I also downloaded Startup Control
Panel and will check into that as well. I'll post back when I am done.
Thanks again.

Chris

John,

The startupCPL program helped me out a lot. The PC is running that much
faster. Thanks again,

Chris
