Windows XP Slow Pc, Any Help Pls??

hi, wonder if any of you can help me..

i've read all the starting guides this site has to offer and yet none

of them seem to offer any help in my problem.

at the moment, i'm running MS XP home Edit, on my pc

and it runs ok sometimes, but after it's been on a while

it seems to become really really slow, is there

any programs or ways i could speed up my pc, without

buying costly hardware???

suggest you try running scan disk & defragmenter and see if that help's first.

Download, install, update ... SpywareBlaster, AdAwareSE & Windows Defender ... go and get CrapCleaner, install, update and run it, be carefull NOT TO INSTALL Yahoo toolbar, un-tick the box ... then defrag.

Get AntiVir ... a free antivirus program, install, update & run it.

Go to start>RUn>Msconfig and uncheck all those progrms sthat you really dont need at boot. If the drive is low on free space, fragmented, things can slow down, regularly run disk cleanup and defrag. Also maybe u need to add more RAM? scan for nasties.
