slow download !!

Hi,
I have 2 identical systems, except 1 is WinXP and the other is Win2000.
Why does WinXP download stuffs much slower than the Win2000 PC ?
Even web browsing is much slower !!
any idea?
 
There could be numerous reasons. Assuming both systems are using the same
type of internet connection such as dial-up, DSL or cable modems, you could
be dealing with viruses or other malware. Confirm that both systems are
free of all malware. Check that both systems are using the same browser and
browser versions. Check that both systems are fully updated with all the
critical updates from the Windows Update website.
