slow browsing

anyone have an idea as to why my computer is so slow
opening web pages? I have a broadband connection and my
downloads are still very fast. I have cleaned out my
temp internet file, I have used spy sweeper to get rid of
adware used cwshredder I have all the latest windows
update. Its still very slow opening pages. Any ideas?
 
If it is ALL pages everywhere, then I'd blame IE. If it
is just some sites, then they have the problem, not you.
 
It has gotten to the point that is all sites. So if it
is IE what should I try?
 
Download Netscape7.1 - or another browser - and give it a run.
