Slow boot up...

Recently my computer starting taking an extremely long time to start up.
It will boot to Windows fine, my desktop & icons will all appear, but it
will take about 10 minutes before I can do anything!
Any suggestions where to start?

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time
things worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the
malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what
programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?

I had the same problem with another computer, maybe is the same for you, do
you have many applications installed?, cause you need to check if they load
when Windows starts, open Start-Execute, and type: msconfig. You will see
some tabs, like System.ini, etc. just select the Start tab and you can check
and uncheck the application you want to load with Windows, just be sure what
you are modifying, cause if you uncheck the wrong one, maybe you're gonna
have problems when Windows starts again. This solution helped me a long time
ago, i hope it helps you too

Just for the record, my Windows language is in Spanish, so if i was wrong
with something in english, you know why
