I install Microsoft Antispyware and scan on dozens of computers a day.
However, I have to run the updater on every computer I sit down to, and
it gets annoying. Is there a way to download definitions to use offline
(like nortons and mcafees ndat and sdat) ?

If you want to try the experiment to let us know whether it works or
not--I've not had confirmation when I've suggested this to others, and
haven't taken the time to test it myself.

shows the two files involved in the definitions.

Try moving them by hand and let us know what happens?

I would ignore such questions since they are a waste of time
until MSAS goes to RTM, what's the point of discussing it for the time being ?
