I have used RIS in the past to successfully install XP and W2K with SP1 and
SP3 respectively slipstreamed into the OS distribution point.
I am in a situation now where RIS is not available, so I slipstreamed SP2
for XP and SP4 for W2K into the OS media and copied it to CDs.
I can make the installations from the CDs, but I get prompted for the
original media, which I need to constantly switch back and forth with the
SP-slipstreamed media. This has happened with both OSs.
Is this what is supposed to happen?
By the way, can someone tell me how to create a bootable SP-slipsteamed CD?
The only way I know of to keep a bootable CD that way is to create an ISO
image, but I can't slipstream a SP into an ISO image.
Thanks
