I tried that to see if it would cure an ACPI problem which came up in
SP2 but wasn't there in SP1 (both slipstreamed). The result was a
CD coaster "Manifest Parse Error - an invalid character was found it
text content..." Has anyone slipstreamed SP2 into WinXP Pro that had
SP1 slipstreamed into it?

I did on to my previously slipstreamed SP1 disk and I had no problems.

Yes, I used this site, but there are quite a few others. Just do a
google search for slipstream SP2 and XP:

No it didn't work, it gave me an error message about already modified files.
So I used the original install cd and sp2 which includes all of sp1
and autostreamer which works very, very, well. Do a search on
groups.google.com with keywords: autostreamer windows xp sp2

I have SP2 slipstreamed into the original XP Pro and into XP Pro SP1. The
reason for the second slipstream is because for some reason, it will only
install XP (no XP found on this machine) but the second one with SP1 does
allow a Repair of an installed Windows XP system.

Seems strange but those are the results I obtained. I have not tried a
second slipstream of the original with SP2 but since the current installed
XPSP1SP2 works and does allow repair, I'm not enthusiastic about additional
experiments. :-)
