If you can all dig into the depths of your memories, an I know we are talking a long time ago. I would like to start playing Skyrim and want to play with all the best enhancements.
So can you helpful gamers suggest which ones would give me the best experience ?

My rig should be able to cope with almost any extras with ease. I will hopefully be playing with a Steam controller on a 42" tv.

Thanks in advance folks.

It is the Enhanced Edition on Steam that I will be using.

The main mods I remember using when I played it were the HD textures, SkyUI and some carry mod so I could hold more gear, There were loads more but I honestly can't remember them.

The most popular tab here should give you some good ideas. :)

Edit: in fact looking at that list I seem to remember having or trying most of them, the immersive ones were good too.

Thanks V_R. :thumb:

Has anyone tried out the program that allows you to cast spells etc with your own voice ?

I played it through first time with the same mods V_R mentioned and a few complete 'DLC' type extras, some of which were really good.

Currently have the 'Special Edition' version installed in Steam without any mods at all and visit it occasionally.

I played it through without any mods at all, but I wished I'd used one for the UI. It sticks in my head how bad it was!

I didn't know such a thing existed! Sounds intriguing, if you give it a try let us know what it's like

Where to start on the voice thing ?

I came across several voice programs for Skyrim way back and had a quick look at them. Did not pursue them as I was building a new pc to play Skyrim on.
Took some time to build the rig and then life had sent me slightly sideways and Skrim SE was launched so I bought that. Had another quick look at the two voice programs btu had no time to play so Skyrim was shelved yet again.
Today there are voice programs for Skyrim on everything. This is the one I fancy having a go at,

Way of the Voice

it uses this free program. If I decide to keep it I will of course make a donation to the dev.

I would have had a play with Voicemacro before but it is only available for Windows and I did not fancy playing around with WINE to see if it would work with a penguin.

There is also this,

SkyVoiceAttack

which uses this $10 program

Then there are these two, the latter looks to be a rework to be used with VR kits

An if you have a Kinect you can shout at your dragons too

Oh an if you have a friendly Alexa around you can gain her help in shouting at all your enemies in Skyrim too.

Hmm playing Skyrim looks to be pretty complicated for a barbarian.

Just found this VoiceBot but it does cost $'s however it does have tons of profiles already set up for games.
