Sky By Broadband - Problems

Hi everyone!
Right i have installed me sky by broadband program and am getting an error
message
upon asking sky about it i received the reponse below

After extensive investigation, our technical teams have determined that
the
error message you've experienced (Application Exception), is not caused by
the Sky by broadband application itself, but is caused by a core Microsoft
Windows issue on your computer.

We believe this issue is caused by one of two problems:

The Windows registry Performance Counter Library values have become
corrupt,
or
Another application has manually disabled the Performance Counter Library
Due to the complexity of this issue, we recommend that you seek advice
from
Microsoft Windows XP support, or a similarly qualified technical
reference.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Can someone please tell me how i repair these, if theres a program thatg
will do it for u?
I have read articles on how to do this in NT, didn't understand them so
therefore did not attempt it in XP as the guides were for NT.

Hi DL
The error message is an application exception, the program doesnt load, if
you read the email from SKY, it explains what they reckon the likely cause of
the problem is.
All im wanting to know is how you check if the counter performance libraries
are corrupt and if they are how you repair them, or if they have been disabled

Yes I'm aware however, if you check your registry you will find these keys.
You could also email MS via their free tech support, I found them most
helpfull when I used them
