when I publish my site the files in the remote site will not change size to
what is on my hard drive website. If mt website site size is 2000 and the
remote site size is 1500 when I publish my website is remains at 1500. I have
tried about everything. Copy and paste. delete remote file then copy and
paste. tried publishing selectined files when I delected remote file still
the same problem. can any on help

Have you tried refreshing the remote site file list??

Does the site work properly??

It's possible that your host is using file compression on the server.

Are you publishing to a Unix server, and the page has 500 lines of code?
Text (including HTML) files on Unix are usually smaller than those on
Windows because the Windows line ending is 2 characters (CR +LF) whereas
Unuix line endings are only 1 character (LF). The conversion in either
direction is automatic in FrontPage and FTP clients, though FTP clients
can be set not to convert - and this makes viewing any downloaded text
file "interesting".
