I am running Excel 2002. Recently, the "save" and "save as" boxes, when
opened, occupy the entire screen. I can only imagine I did something
unintentionally to bring that about. I would like those boxes to appear at
their original size, which occupied only part of the screen and which
permitted me to move the boxes to see what was behind them on my worksheet.

I tried what I thought might be appropriate search terms in Excel help, but
didn't find anything relevant.

Thanks in advance.

If they're really full screen, then try double clicking on the title bar.

Double clicking on the title bar will toggle between full screen and non-full
screen (where you can grab the sides and resize the window).

Double clicking on the title bar fixed the problem. Given that that's what
it took, I suppose I must've done that accidentally somehow in the first
place in order to increase the size of the boxes to full screen.

Many thanks for the replies.

Rightclicking on the titlebar and choosing maximize is another way to fill the
screen with that window--but that would even be more difficult to do by accident
<bg>.
