RE:

I had MS Word set to open large (I guess sort of maximized) but my PC
crashed and now the application opens only in a small size. How would
I get it to OPEN in a large size?

I have WinXP Pro with SP2

Thank you,

Barry Karas

P.S. I dragged the edges, but the next time I opened MS Word, the
application was small [but not minimized].

Open Word | Use the cursor (not the
maximize button) to drag the window to the desired
size | Click the Close [X] while holding down the
Ctrl key.

Right click the Word shortcut | Properties |
Shortcut tab | Set Run: to Normal or Maximized

Run:
[[Specifies how you want the window to display this item when you open the
shortcut: in a standard window, in a full screen (maximized), or as a button
on the taskbar (minimized).]]

Maximize Word (or drag the edges to whatever size you want). On
the toolbar at the top of the screen hit File. Select Exit at
the bottom of the menu. If you do this right, the next time you
open Word it should be the same size it was when you last
closed the program.

Good luck
