Site comes up slow, slow

Not too long ago I switch to DSL. All works fine except that of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
which takes a short lifetime to come up.
This may not be the fault of XP, however I do not know where to start to begin resolving this.
Appreciate anysuggestions.

If this happens with only this site or a select few then

it is a problem with the site itself, their is nothing
you can do about it.

My DSL speed problem is not just with one or two sites, even navigating within the files has become a part-time nightmare. th speed was there for about a week, then poof! It's like visiting sites on a dial-up but I'm not even surfing??? What gives?
