Single mouse click to open folders

For some reason, whenever I "left click" to open a folder, it goes to the
"search" function.......I have to "right click", select the "open" option and
then the folder will open. How can I change this to open the folder with a
"left click"?

You can use the following fix to resolve the issue:

This is generally caused due to improper registry entry. Just download and
run the fix to resolve the issue.
