Simulated Activity - Avoid Timeout and Logon Redundancy

My new admin decided to lock down our computers at work and after every 15
minutes of inactivity, a screensaver kicks in and then I've got to enter my
userid/password....very annoying.

Anyone know of a fix for this and/or a program that jiggles the mouse or
simulates activity so that this nasty screensaver timeout doesn't occur?

TIA

Are you sure this is not being done to comply with some federal
regulations? If a user here were to stop this behavior there would be
questions as to whether this was a HIPPA violation. At the least the user
would be disciplined for tampering with company policy. They would not be
here too long.

What would happen if the admin found this software on your computer?

Hate to have someone loose their job because of a screen saver.

You asked this before and were given your answer.
Since it is not your computer, you need to talk to your admin.
But first let your admin see your post where you threatened the admin!

Answer me this JJ:

I could go and buy a watch winder, put my mouse in there, go to a 2 hour
meeting, come back to my desk, and there would be my desktop, no
screensaver, no stupid password. Just like I like it. No company
violation.

Instead of that analog solution, I'm seeking a piece of software that will
do the same thing.

What's your problem with that? I'm not trying to deliberately give others
unauthorized access. I'm simply looking for a mouse jiggler.

Perhaps if you were to actually work....?

Anyway, those of us here who are IT professionals certainly won't be
incluned to help you compromise your network's security. If your
employer's policies are too "inconvenient" for you, maybe you should
look elsewhere for a job.

Then buy a watch winder.

"No company violation"
Perhaps at your company, but your companies policies are apparently not
reflective of all.

What is the problem with asking the admin?
Why are you afraid of asking the admin?
If there is no problem, ask.
If there is a problem, you should not do it.

If your going to be away from the computer for two hours it's probably
better to logout anyway, I do. In a way it's for your own good, I
wouldn't want someone doing something stupid using my login in my
absence. But as others have said, why don't you just talk to the admins
about it instead of trying to get around the restrictions.

The "problem with that" is that users in an organization need to get it
through their heads that they are NOT their computers or their network,
they belong to the organization and the admins for the organization
decide how it is all to be used, not the users.
