Simple Scanning Software

I bought an HP All-In-One printer (model # 1310). I use the scanner
frequently, almost exclusively for copying receipts. I'm looking for a
utility that would let me make fast, simple, high quality (for my purpose)
scans (I would like to be able to crop the image). The software that came
with the printer wants to make a big deal of everything like an editing
mode, color correction, printing pictures, etc.. Is there a quick easy in,
easy out program I could substitute?

Thanks... Bob

Sorry, I guess I didn't make myself clear. I do want to save the scan as a
jpg for archive purposes.

A little outside the box... but I use IrfanView all the time to do
what you want.

Control-Shift-A to acquire from your TWAIN scanner. Then draw the
selection box, Hit Control-Y to crop and you're ready to save.
