Simple Graphic Card Question

A week ago my computer crashed and my ATI graphics card got disable.
:\
When I restarted the computer only 8bit color appeared on the screen
and every time I changed it to 32bit, could suppot it and CRASHED.
So I'm planning to get another ATI graphic card.

I had my first Graphic Card installed at Circuit City, but my question
is when I get another one, do I just make the same connections as the
old one?

thanx in advanced

It is unlikely that the card has failed. Download the latest drivers from
www.ati.com and install them.

I doubt your card is bad. Download, & install Driver Cleaner
PE. Once you do that, first go into control panel's add/remove panel,
and uninstall the ATI drivers. Then run Driver Cleaner PE, and clean
all ATI drivers. Then install the latest ATI drivers for your card.
See if it works. If not, my next step would be to backup your
important data, then format the HDD, and instal the OS from scratch..
Then the OS updates.. Mainboard chipset driver.. Then your device
drivers. Goodluck!
