signatures for different profiles

how can you prevent the signature from another profile on
the same computer from showing up on composed messages?
its seems that the signatures are linked with the
different profiles and that their settings affect one
another.

My understanding is that signatures are not mail profile-specific, but
Windows user-specific; signatures are kept in the folder -
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures for Windows 2000/XP. If
a single user has more than one mail profile, all signatures will be shared
across profiles for that user.
