Different signatures for each profile?

G'Day,

I have 2 user profiles on the same box. I see that when I change my
signature it applies to __all__ profiles instead of just that one. So
is there a way to have signatures different between profiles without
having to change them each time? (Eudora has identities, Thunderbird
has personalities that do this kind of thing. How does Outlook do it?)

I assume, then, that you're using Outlook 2002?

I used Word's AutoText feature to get
around this; I used Word as my e-mail editor, and then
then set up my signature(s) as AutoText entries. Basically, you just
enter their signature once, select it, select AutoText from the Insert menu,
and create a new entry. Give the entry a short name to identifythe sig.

When composing a message, end it by typing the entry name and the AutoText
entry should pop up. Hit Enter to allow AutoText to insert the sig.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will give this a try. Do you know if this
has been improved in 2003? Seems to me a rather funadamental thing that
is available in all other mailers that is dealth with very poorly in
Outlook. Add to this my post about profile management and Outlook
becomes very cumbersome to use if you have multiple roles and need to
answer email for a particular role ie Help Desk vs Personal vs Some
Other Role.
