Anyone know where the signature files are stored? Is it
possible just to download the sig file? I need to update
the program manually when i have a machine that cant
connect to the net.

I have that same question, and asked it in a similar thread to this one, but
didn't get a reply.

I can give some thoughts, though. Not connected to the Internet doesn't
necessarily mean physically secure. You'd want to know if a childs friends
installed a keylogger on your machine, for example.

computing is no more fun fun fun
spend one hour checking for updates on all the softwares installed
one hour on surfing the Net
and eight hours trying to secure my sytem
There must be an easier way :-(

I don't know---I have a number of offices now where I depend on the
autoupdate mechanisms to work on all the software. I check it
periodically--usually a day or two after second tuesday patch day--and it
seems to be working. These are small offices where a broader update service
such as SUS hasn't made sense for me yet.
