Hmm... I don't know whether I'm being a tad paranoid (...probably! lol) But the message that was hiding the sigs, translated from:

"Dit was een gratis sessie, gesponsord door www.teamviewer.com.
TeamViewer sessies zijn gratis voor persoonlijk gebruik.

Fijn als u zich aan de regels houdt!"

To this:

"This was a free session, sponsored by www.teamviewer.com.
TeamViewer sessions are free for personal use.

Fine if you stick to the rules!"

(I used an online translation service.)

But anyway... when I Googled the company mentioned in the error message thingy, I kept seeing this in the results: "Remote control any computer or Mac over the internet within seconds..." in the descriptive blurb.I understand there are totally legitimate uses for this kind of thing, but, does it mean that innocently using a sig, which is somehow routed through this service, could leave a user's PC vulnerable to being controlled by a third party?

Or is this just me over-thinking it?

For the time being, I've taken the precaution of removing my sig.

Sig glitch?

Was this a problem with the WCG generated sigs or sigs in general on our site?

Will do some digging once I know a little more :D.

Oh I'm sorry Ian, beg pardon, I should have clarified before rambling-on lol.

Yes, there is a glitch with the WCG sigs. They were obscured by the message quoted in my previous post. (Dutch I believe?) It's not a PCReview problem though, because it's also occurring on the WCG forum website too. At least, it was when I checked earlier.

Thanks :D.

Ah yes, I see the problem now. I wouldn't worry about that error, it looks like they're capturing the images direct from a PC, rather than generating the image on the fly. It's unsightly, but not insecure or anything like that - I guess the provider of the sigs wasn't expecting the Teamviewer popup to appear (it's a very legit app).

Thank you for the info Ian, much appreciated. :thumb:

I must now try to remember where I stored by sig details lol.

Yeah I use Teamviewer and thats the message you get when you close a session, unless you pay. :)

Looks like, as Ian says, its somehow captured/capturing the image like a screenshot. Random.
