WXP SP2
Since formatting I now get a small 2 x 4" MS WXP box advising Windows is
Shutting Down and on Boot up I get a 4x4" MS WXP box contaning my name and I
have to click OK to get into Windows. Both boxes appear on a black screen.
Would this be my Video card, a Service not set properly or just bad luck.
It doesn't seem to bother anything except me but I'd like to have the same
Screen Pictures I once had.
Also strange is when I CAD instead of getting Task Manager, I get the same
size and type, MS WXP Professional box with buttons giving me choices, Lock
Computer, Log Off, Shut down, Change Password, Task Manager, and Cancel.
Once in Windows my Monitor and Video card displays perfectly. Absolutely
no quirks.
Hopefully someone has seen this before and has found a solution. One thing
different after this format and loading my WXP CD Version 2002, I used a CD
purchased from MS containing all the SP2 Updates vs getting them from the
Windows Update site. Thx for any suggestions I might try. ...
