Shut Down Problem

When I shut down/restart WXP MCE 2002, windows will not shut down and I have
to press the computer power button to get the computer to power down. Every
time, no matter if I log everyone off, or not, it just freezes at the point
of where it says Windows is shutting down and then nothing happens.

Have you disabled anything with MSCONFIG? I had a problem with my MCE PC
shutting down. Kept getting "MCL Commander..(or something) error". It would
eventually shut down after 5 or 6 times of clicking End Now. After I enabled
the only 3 unchecked items in the list, the problem disappeared immediately.
I no longer have that PC or I would check what was unchecked. Check to see
what is disabled in the start up. Steve T.
