Shutdown Key

I have a Quantum (compatible) keyboard that implements shutdown by means of
a hotkey. Since I run a critical application I need to eliminate that.
In another XP machine that I have, I can control the functionality by means
of Control Panel -> Power Options ->Advanced Tab -> Shutdown Button -> and
modify to "Do Nothing".
In this Win2000 PC there is only "Stand By" which actually bad for me.
Is there any work around, or some software that can override this shutdown
key in the keyboard?

Thanks

Jack

I don't know about disabling the key specifically, but you can
always disable the shutdown command altogether. Go to
Start/Run/gpedit.msc and navigate to Computer Configuration/
Windows Settings/Local Policies/User Rights Assignment and
remove all user types under "Shut down the system". If the
system doesn't normally run with a user who has administrative
rights; leave the Administrator group checked.
