Hi everybody

Circumstances
1 I have a AMD Duron on ASUS mother that runs perfectly on XP Win SP2 that a. power off on shutdown b. on hibernation.
2 I next install Vista SP1 on exactly the same hardware.

The problems
1 OS shutdown but did not turn power off. To turn off power, need to press shutdown switch for more than few seconds. On restarting, OS response shows a proper shutdown earlier.
2 OS fail to hibernate meaning: going into hibernation will create a failed shutdown prompting request to start on last best configuration.
Note: Same situation installing Vista without SP.

Question
1 Why Vista did not turn off power?
2 Why Vista fail to hiberate?

Please enlighten if anyone out there faced a similar problem! Cheers!!
