Shutdown changed after SP2

My computer power switch had a 4 second delay (set in the bios) so
that it wouldn't shut down immediately if you accidentally hit the
power switch (which is above the CD Rom switch - stupid place if you
ask me). Since installing SP2, the computer now shuts down immediately
if I touch the power switch. I have tried both BIOS (Award BIOS v
6.0) settings - Soft off and Suspend - and neither works. The same
thing has happened to my hubby's computer as well.

Does anyone have an answer for this?

Hi Lorraine!
Try going to control panel, double click power options, select the
advanced tab the box that says "when I press the power button on my computer"
try changing it from "shut down" to ask me what to do". Hope it works let
us know.

Thanks blis - that worked. Doesn't give me the 4 second delay, but
does bring up the windows shut down options box, which is just as
good.
