Shutdown after Upgrade

Hello,

I have recently upgraded this computer from Win 98 to Win XP Pro.
When I had Win 98 on it, I would go to "Shutdown" and the computer would
shut off after Windows unloaded. Now that XP is on, I simply get a "IT IS
NOW SAFE TO TURN YOUR COMPUTER OFF" screen. How can I resolve this so that
it will shut off.

The later Service Packs correct that. Update the system on the Windows
Update site.

I am running Service Pack 2, recently installed and it is still doing this.
