Shutdown problem

After upgrading to Win XP SP2 from Win ME, my Computer will not turn off by
itself without pressing the Power Button (It Use to Shut off by itself). I
found that Gateway has a Shutdown fix for Win ME (but that version is not
compatible with XP). But I could not find one for XP.
On Microsofts Web Site I found KB 313290 as follows:
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, and then click
Control Panel.
2. In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click Power
Options.
3. Click the APM tab.
4. Check to select the Enable Advanced Power Management Support check box,
and then click OK.

I tried this but I don'T have that option Available. No APM Tab.
