Shut down unexpectedly

Can anyone please shed some light as to why my pc has started to shut down
completely, on its own, randomly during the game (Age of Empires 111), every
time that I play it.

If it only happens during game play time, then most likely it has to do with the
game. check the Event Viewer to see if it will shed any light on why:
Click Start > Run, type in: eventvwr.msc and press Enter.
