shut down problem

When I go to shut the computer down it says shutting down DVD launcher, then
it says program is not responding, and then it does the same thing for other
programs and will not shut down.
I have had this computer for two days now.
What should I do?

Get in touch with the folks who sold it to you, and have their tech
support folks set it up correctly.
