How can I show a # sign in a field name when I am exporting a query result to
Excel?

Please let me know. Thanks.

# is the character used to indicate a "." character.

If you use hash you should get dot

I don't think there is any way to show a # sign in a field name when you are
exporting a query result to Excel.

Are you using Access 2002/2003? If so, have you applied
the latest service packs? What method are you using for
exporting to Excel? I know that writing to a linked
table is disabled, but I'm not sure which other methods
are still available, so I'm curious about your experience.
