shortcut keys suddenly don't work

This started when I started moving some desktop shortcuts to a different
folder.

Now, the shortcut keys that I use to launch the programs don't work.

If I check Properties, they are still there.

If I then delete the shortcut key combination and then reinstate it, it will
not work UNLESS I access the file through My Computer. Then the new setting
works for that session. But if I then shut down and get on the next day, the
shortcut keys again do not work.

Any ideas?

You moved them to a different location thus the PATH is now incorrect for the
shortcut. You can do two things to correct it. One is to edit the shortcut
properties. Or, two, rightclick the shortcut and click delete. Now go the
where
the new location of the folder is, rightclick it and click create desktop
icon. Now
it will have the new path.

For the shortcut keys to work consistently, store the shortcuts on the
desktop or in the start menu.
