Shortcut icons revert to generic look

Hi,

When I initially save web sites to my Favorites many times the sites have
customized icons (eBay, HotBot, etc) which display during the session. After
restarting these icons have reverted back to the generic Internet Explorer
icon found in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\url.dll." Does anyone know how to keep
the original icon face as supplied by the web site?

I am running XP Pro SP2 and IE6.02.

Hi,

Favicons are stored in the Temporary Internet Files folder. Newer files
eventually replace them.

Favorg is easy to use and is still available for free from
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm > line 108.

FavIconizer from
http://www.codeproject.com/tools/faviconizer.asp?target=favicons is freeware
and will save
favicons for you.
