Shortcut icon

I have created a shortcut icon on my desktop for MYOB however when i click on
it it says . Caution. You are attempting to open a file of type 'DAT file'
(.dat)
These files are used by the ioperating system and by various programs.
editing or modifying them could damage your system. If you still want to
open the file click 'open with' otherwise click cancel. What have I done
wrong.

Look at the Properties of the shortcut and see what you have for the
Target and correct it if it points to the wrong file.

Exactly what is the target it points to?
Please copy and paste in case you accidentally spell it incorrectly.

Windows XP add many new security anhancments. One of them, warning you about
opening files, with a sucspected file extension. IT IS NORMALL, AND THERE IS
NO EASY WAY TO TURN THIS FEATURE OFF, I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN OPENING
SOMETHING IN WORD, JUST GET USED TO IT!!!
