sharing printer

I cannot share my usb printer I receive a message saying that "Printer
settings could not be saved operation could not be completed"

It is an already installed hp psc1200 printer. I hav finally arrived in the
12st century with a network and two computers. Good one for wife old
clunker laptop for me.

Thanks for any thoughts!!

Are you logged on as an Administrator when you try to save the settings?
