HOW CAN WE SHARE INTERNET PROGRAMS ON XP PRO?

ALTHOUGH MY WIFE AND I HAVE SEPARATE USERS LOGINS FOR
PERSONAL SETTINGS ETC. WE BOTH WANT TO USE THE SAME
INTERNET PROGRAMS.

WE BOTH USE OUTLOOK EXPRESS BUT IF ONE CALLS DOWN ALL THE
EMAILS (FOR ALL USERS) AND SAVES THEM, THE OTHER CAN ONLY
ACCESS IT UNDER THAT LOGIN-IN USER.

THE SAME WHEN USING INTERNET EXPLORER - WE BOTH CAN'T
ACCESS THOSE FAVOURITES SAVED BY THE OTHER.

IS IT SOMETHING TO DO WITH WHERE THE PROGRAMS ARE STORED
UNDER THE C DRIVE?

Hi Alan,

For Internet Explorer, move the favorites from your local profiles to the
AllUsers profile.

From:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Favorites

To:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Favorites

As for your Outlook Express mail, it's easy enough to set up, but carries
with it a danger.

Log on as either user, open Outlook Express. Click tools/options/maintenance
tab, click on the store folder button. Move it to a shared location
accessible by all users (right now it is under their local profile). "Ok"
your way out and close Outlook Express. Logoff and repeat the steps for each
user, this time selecting the location selected/created by the first user.

*IMPORTANT* Do NOT use fast user switching with Outlook Express left open.
You (and all other users) MUST remember to close it before switching. If any
user fails to do this, the mail store may be corrupted beyond repair, and
all saved messages will be lost.
