I have 2 units of PC installed with XP, in the same
workgroup:
PC1 with user account A(admin account).
PC2 with user account B(admin account).

I want to backup data from PC1 to PC2.
- I create a limited account A at PC2, create a share
folder with sharing & security permission(full control)
to account A.
- When I get back to PC1, and search PC2, I can browse
the folder, but it couldn't be accessed with
error "Access is denied".

How to setup, in order that account A can access from PC1
to "share folder(permission only to account A)" at PC2 ?

Thanks.

The easiest way to access shares is to use a user name and
password that matches on both machines. Also try it first
with the admin privledges and once it works then start
restricting the account. Make sure both machine are in
the same "workgroup". Make sure all the firewalls are off.

Thanks, Michael.
Have checked all;
- username & password matches on both machines (create
with admin privl)
- both of them in the same workgroup
- both firewalls are off
- Setting permission to one user(account created
previously with admin privl) in sharefolder
Still it didn't share the folder, browsable but access to
the folder is denied.
Is there any service has to be started at services.msc/s?
(in order for the computer to be accessed only for the
allowed permission in a network)

Rgds,
Iris
