2 pc's A & B, both XPpro SP3. A has a HP2420 printer attached via usb and
shared. Printing from A - no problem. Send print from B, nothing, job stays
in print queue with status 'printing'.

I then run services.msc on A, and restart the print spooler. Everything then
prints OK until another job is sent from B, and requires the same action.

Anyone any ideas? Please

Is their a "Trust Relationship" between the two computers ? Does each have
an identical username/password account setup ? If XP Professional you can
modify the ACL properties for the printer group "Everyone".

Tried that, even added 'network' to the ACL. I think it's an issue with
either the printer driver or the print spooler on A. (Might be wrong).

Then check your System Event log. It's possible you have a service issue
either with Spooler or a dependency service. Best to clear the log and then
reboot and immediately check for Warnings & Errors.
